We all have days when we just don't feel like putting an effort into our appearance or do anything at all for whatever reason. However, those are the days deep down we know we must stay motivated. Feeling lazy is easy but getting up and going about your day when you feel as if you don't have the energy, is the hard part. We must not let our lazy days get to us. Of course, we are all entitled to a day off and just a day where you don't want to do anything but relax. However, there is a difference between relaxing and enjoying your free time and just feeling like life just isn't for you today. You don't have to overexert yourself, but you also don't want to get to a point where the laziness becomes consuming, because it can, and it can go over a day if you let yourself get that far.
Here are some tips to stay motivated:
1) Start the day off with the Lord. When you wake up thank God for another day and for keeping you safe during the night and pray about the day ahead. Prayer goes along way and starting the day off with a prayer will indeed help you and you don't have to worry about not feeling motivated.
2) Get dressed! It can be easy to feel unmotivated and lazy when you stay in your pajamas all day. Try thinking ahead of what you're going to wear even if you'll be staying home. Stores have been selling loungewear for years. Look through their items and pick out the ones you like the most. You can also put on a dress that you've been thinking of giving away but instead of giving the dress or dresses away you can keep them as "at home wear." That goes for pants and shirts too.
3) You can also skip the loungewear and go for activewear. This way you'll feel motivated to work out during the day even if it's just for 2o minutes. A 20-minute workout can be so effective. Try HIIT workouts they will get your heart racing and it will help you feel motivated even on the laziest day.
4) Do your hair! You don't have to do anything special even a simple ponytail or braid will help. The last thing you want to do is to look in the mirror during the middle of the day and look like you just woke up.
5) Give yourself a manicure and pedicure. Sometimes all you need for a pick me up is something as simple as having nice filed and polished nails especially during the summer months. Treat yourself to a spa day either outside or in your house.
6) Keep your house tidy and neat so when your lazy days come around you don't have to think about your home being messy you can relax and focus on other things.
7) Think of new hobbies to try and keep yourself busy.
8) Exercise is a good way to keep you motivated. As I mentioned before even doing a 20-minute HIIT workout will pump you up and take away the feeling of laziness.
9) Catch up on all the things you haven't had a chance to do while working, running errands, chasing kids around and entertaining.
10) If it's your day off make the most of the day and enjoy it even if you're staying home. You don't want a whole day to go to waste just because you're feeling unmotivated.
