Before you make the conscience decision to start a new wardrobe from scratch, ask yourself why are you doing this? Are they now age appropriate? Ask yourself these questions about everything you own to know what to get rid of from your wardrobe.

Buying New Clothes

Do not I repeat do not buy everything you see or like to fill up a new wardrobe. Be mindful of what you buy think quality over quantity, think fit and cut of items, versatility, and you don’t have to buy everything all at once. What do I mean about versatility? I mean buying clothes that can go with any occasion or that can be dressed up or down. Where To Shop?

Since this blog is geared to looking feminine and polished without big labels, I’ll list stores and sites that are affordable and that contain good quality clothing and shoes.

What To Buy?

Like I mentioned before don’t buy everything all at once. Be mindful on what to buy and buy what you love. If you buy what you love, then you’re more likely to make use of what you’ve purchased. Start off with basic pieces such as long sleeves, cardigans, camisoles, pants, and skirts. Experiment with color if you’re starting a new wardrobe from scratch then buy colors that complement each other well. For example, grey and navy blue, pink and olive green, black and red, white, and black and clothes with a pop-up print. The same applies with shoes and accessories. Choose shoes that can be worn for any occasion and neutral colors that can go with almost anything. Don’t forget a print to bring some life to the outfit if you’d like.
