3 Ways To Style One Navy Blazer

Updated: Aug 21, 2023

Now that fall is in full swing, and the beautiful fall foliage surrounds us we must dress the part. One thing I usually look forward to doing during the cooler months is layering. I love to layer my outfits, accessorize them, and wear shoes that will bring the whole outfit together. One of my favorite staple pieces is the blazer. A blazer is one of the most versatile pieces especially for work.

If you don't have a blazer, I would suggest that you go and buy one. Once you have a blazer and you start mixing and matching your outfit you'll understand where I'm coming from. If you're just wearing a plain blouse or t-shirt and pants, no problem the blazer is your friend. However, let's try and change things up a bit and go for a navy blazer as opposed to a black blazer which is very common. The navy blazer gives the outfit a chicer and trendier look.

If you have some time on your hands, I recommend laying the pieces you have in mind to pair together onto your bed. Start mixing and matching and go for things you wouldn't have paired together before. Remember just if it goes together is what matters. Especially styling a navy-blue blazer a lot more colors go with navy blue than you might realize.

For instance, the outfit below I decided to pair burgundy ankle pants with a navy blue and white striped blouse. I added the navy-blue blazer with black ballet flats for a comfortable but chic look. I then topped off the outfit with a long gold and light pink statement necklace to pull the outfit together. You can add nude shoes, wedges or heels to the outfit and make it any style you're going for.

Since summer is officially over and it's getting a little chillier outside, I wanted to maximize my wardrobe a bit, so I added something a little different to this outfit. I paired the blazer with a floral skirt and a dark camisole underneath and nude heels; to round out the butt and elongate the leg. I added a pair of sunglasses (because the sun is still very strong) and kept the accessories to a minimal. With stud earrings and a fall-colored lip to complete the fall look. This is one of my favorite outfits especially when I have my hair in loose tousled waves. I just feel so feminine, angelic, and chic. This outfit works perfectly for spring as well and it is one of my favorites because it looks so feminine and polished, but it still has a timeless classic look.

Now for the last outfit I wanted change things up a bit as the temperature drops; by adding a preppy and equestrian feel to this look. I've always been fond of the preppy look and the look itself can never go out of style. On the contrary as fashion trends change you can make the preppy look current or keep it classic. I also wanted to add a bit of an Equestrian touch to it, which is another style I enjoy. I added a black sweater with a black and white striped collar and a pair of taupe colored knee-high boots. For makeup go for a light fall look eye look to blend well with a dark and vampy lip.
